At the Fall “All” State Horse Councils meeting in Columbus, OH, on Friday October 21, 2022, we hope you can join us for an 8:00pm After Hours Tribute to Glen Eaton of Minnesota. Drink a toast and share a story. Location TBD.

Glen Eaton was a long-time servant member of the Minnesota Horse Council. Glen started in 1982 and had served as Director since 1989, managing the MN Horse Expo which has raised millions enabling programs and grants to be offered.

Glen exhibited at the first MN Horse Expo in 1982 on his Shrine Patrol horse, Gambler, and thereafter assumed the volunteer duties of Expo Director, for more than 30 years, growing it a little each year to the extent that it is today expanding across most of the MN State Fair property.

Glen implemented the Aisle of Breeds educational exhibit which also is a part of State Fair now. He led the initiative and fundraising endeavors for new bathrooms and shower houses on the premise for exhibitor comforts.

Over the years Glen attended many of the Coalition of State Horse Council meetings and in 2006, he was awarded the American Horse Council Van Ness Award for leadership and service to the horse community.

Glen passed away on August 19, 2022, just one day short of his 91st birthday.
